Brent Stempfle

Writer

Brent Stempfle is a Kelowna-based writer and communications student at Athabasca University. As a contributor to the Kelowna Arts Council, he has spent the past year immersed in the Okanagan’s art scene and is thrilled to bring the same passion to his new role with the Ryga Arts Festival.

Writing from a neurodivergent perspective, Brent brings an introspective lens to arts and culture, drawing on his own experience to give voice to things people feel but don’t always have words for. Whether attending a gallery opening, a live music performance, or a community event, he approaches each experience in search of the connections that only art can create.

Ryga’s inclusive, community-minded approach to the arts is a natural home for the style of writing Brent loves to do, and he can’t wait to share his perspectives this year in preparation of September’s festival.
