Ways To Give And Why

Every dollar goes directly toward our work celebrating rural communities and the arts, the artists who make our shows, and the youth who will be the future of theatre. Your gift will help support production, presentation, education and outreach initiatives, and our new works development programs. All gifts of $20 or more will be acknowledged with a tax-deductible receipt.

As a thank you to the incredible people who help make the festival possible, volunteers are considered honorary members and do not need to purchase a membership. Interested in joining the team? Apply to become a volunteer here!

What You Receive

A Tax Receipt: At the beginning of each year, you’ll receive a consolidated tax receipt for all your monthly donations from the previous year.

Employee Matching Programs

Many Canadian workplaces match contributions made by their employees and retirees to charitable organizations like the Arts Club. Speak to your employer to see if Matching Fund Programs are available at your company.

What Your Gift Supports

  • Bringing amazing artists from across the province and the country to the Okanagan
  • Supporting local and regional artists in their creation, production and presentation
  • Designers, technicians, and backstage crew for the shows
  • Subsidized tickets for youth and others to attend our productions
  • Artistic development programs like our New Works Development

Legacy Giving

Leaving a gift in your will is a meaningful way to give back to your community and play a vital role in ensuring the future of Summerland’s Ryga Arts Festival. By making a gift of a bequest, an endowment, or publicly traded securities, you play an important role in creating a long-lasting impact. Your support helps sustain the festival, cultivate Okanagan artists, and continue bringing exceptional performances for Summerland for years to come.

Volunteer With the Festival

Each year, volunteers help bring the Ryga Arts Festival to life. From greeting visitors and assisting artists to helping backstage and distributing posters, volunteers play an essential role in making the festival possible.

Last year, more than 60 volunteers helped deliver 18 events across Summerland. This year, we would love to have you join us.
Whether you love theatre, enjoy community events, or simply want to support the arts, there’s a place for you on our team.
