Beyond Borders: Creating Art for Hope

Beyond Borders explores the beauty found in the everyday. By synthesizing results from workshops in Summerland and Bytom, Poland, this exhibition invites us to see the "unseen." Through portraiture, landscape, and spontaneous capture, photographers from across the globe and within our Summerland community reveal the intricate layers of place and personhood. This showcase celebrates intercultural dialogue, regional heritage, and the profound storytelling power of the digital camera.

Featuring work by local participants alongside an international cohort of young photographers.

About Our Guest Speaker

Łukasz Wójtowicz is a dynamic Polish arts producer and culture animator. He brings a wealth of international experience, having worked with prominent institutions like neTTheatre, the Musical Theatre in Lublin, and the Rozbark Theatre, where he spearheaded the “Rozbark Traditions” project. Since 2012, he has been a driving force in international youth exchanges, cultural staff training, and artistic residencies across Europe. Since 2020, he has organized the Rzeczpospolita B. Festival in Bełżyce and currently leads ARTS360.

About Eastern Theatre – Theatre for Hope (Poland)

Established in 2021, the Eastern Theatre Foundation develops multidisciplinary culture and art, focusing on accessibility for residents outside major urban centers, particularly in the Lublin Voivodeship and Eastern Poland. Their work stands as a testament to the power of community-driven artistic development.
