Based in Red Deer, Derek is an Alberta actor and playwright with a deep background in live theatre. Having performed in over 40 productions, directed two, and worked extensively backstage, his comprehensive stagecraft heavily influences his scripts. Following his short plays Bottom's Up and Still Waters with Sylvan Lake Theatre, and while currently starring in an Alberta feature film, Derek is excited to bring The Last Chapter to the Ryga Theatre Trail.
